Tea Party Express Endorses Yvette Herrell for U.S. Congress in New Mexico

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest grassroots Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Yvette Herrell for Congress in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District.

Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “Yvette Herrell’s private sector experience and her four terms in the New Mexico House of Representatives have provided her with an intimate understanding of the burdens government places on New Mexico’s families, businesses, job creators, and schools. We are pleased to join Freedom Caucus Members Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. Steve Pearce, and Rep. Mark Meadows in endorsing Yvette for her record of courageous conservative leadership.

“Yvette Herrell knows that it is not the role of government to create jobs but rather to create an attractive environment that encourages job creators to continue investing. In her eight years in the New Mexico House of Representatives, she has led the charge to reform a bloated state government and roll back job-killing regulations that serve only to enrich unelected bureaucrats. As a result of her efforts, she was named the most conservative member of the House as well as ‘Hero of the Year’ by the New Mexico Business Coalition. Yvette is committed to reining in the size, cost, and intrusiveness of the federal government, and she is a co-founder of the Balanced Budget Amendment Task Force.

“In two weeks, Americans will head to the polls to decide whether to continue along the current path of economic prosperity and limited government forged by President Trump and our Tea Party Congress or return to the days of stagnation and failed programs that we experienced under Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi. If the Democrats succeed in taking control of even one house of Congress, conservatives’ progress will be stopped dead in its tracks. Our country cannot afford for that to happen, which is why it is critical to send conservatives like Yvette Herrell to Washington to continue fighting to restore American greatness,” Russo concluded.
