Tea Party Express Endorses Three Conservatives Congressmen in Texas

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest grassroots Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of the following conservative Congressmen in Texas: Rep. John Culberson in the 7th District, Rep. Will Hurd in the 23rd District, and Rep. Pete Sessions in the 32nd District.

Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “Today we are excited to endorse three Congressmen from Texas who are fighting on the frontlines of the battle to restore American prosperity and reduce the size, cost, and intrusiveness of the federal government. Each has brought his unique background and perspective to Congress while championing Tea Party values. Early voting begins on October 22nd, and we encourage voters to send these three Tea Party Congressman back to Washington.

7th District: “Rep. John Culberson, a Houston native and former member of the Texas House of Representatives, exemplifies the Tea Party principle of fiscal responsibility. As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, he has taken seriously his responsibility to protect our heard-earned tax dollars. John supports the enactment of a balanced budget, ending pork barrel spending, and the full repeal and replacement of Obamacare, which has cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. He also supported President Trump’s tax cuts and will continue to work tirelessly to slash burdensome regulations, lower medical costs, and stimulate economic growth in the great state of Texas.

23rd District: “From the moment he was sworn into Congress, Rep. Will Hurd has worked hard for the citizens of the 23rd District. In his first term, he had more legislation signed into law than any other member of Congress. He has advocated for policies that unshackle small business owners, spur innovation, and encourage job growth, including President Trump’s successful tax cuts and efforts to cut unnecessary regulations and red tape. Will has also drawn on his years of experience in the Central Intelligence Agency to promote computer science education, crack down on cybercrime, and protect the electronic privacy rights of the American people.

32nd District: “Rep. Pete Sessions has been a consistent voice for fiscal responsibility and economic freedom. As a result of his extensive private sector experience, including sixteen years with the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, he understands the need to fight bureaucracy and to utilize market-driven solutions to effectively solve problems in our communities and in government. He is in favor of making President Trump’s tax cuts permanent, and he supports the REINS Act, which would require Congressional approval for major federal agency regulations before they take effect. We cannot fail to send this strong conservative voice back to D.C. to continue his fight for Tea Party principles.”
