Tea Party Express Endorses Troy Balderson for U.S. Congress in Ohio

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of State Senator Troy Balderson for Congress in the August 7th special election to replace retired Congressman Pat Tiberi in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District.

Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “We are enthusiastic in our support of Troy Balderson for Congress because he is a conservative problem solver who has worked tirelessly to advance the Tea Party principles of limited government, balanced budgets, and lower taxes while serving in the Ohio House and Senate.

“Troy’s conservative record speaks for itself. As State Senator, he voted to cut taxes by $5 billion, eliminate Ohio’s staggering debt, and replenish the state’s rainy-day fund – serving on the powerful House Finance Committee. During his tenure and working with the Governor, 500,000 jobs were created in Ohio and the unemployment rate dropped to below five percent, demonstrating what happens when government gets out of the way and lets individuals and entrepreneurs keep and invest more of their own money. We need more principled conservatives like Troy in Congress to continue fighting to rein in the massive federal bureaucracy and restore economic freedom so that Ohio’s success can be replicated nationwide.

“But the liberals want none of that, which is why they’re spending so many millions of dollars promoting Nancy Pelosi’s candidate, liberal Danny O’Connor. We agree with Troy that O’Connor has been trying to hide his true liberal values just so he can get elected. That is the reason why all the liberal groups are pouring money into the district to elect O’Connor — they know he is one of them. In this race the choice is between the wildly successful policies of lower taxes and economic growth advanced by Troy Balderson, President Trump, and the Republicans in Congress or the stagnant economy and big government agenda of Danny O’Connor, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi. The choice could not be easier for the people of Ohio, and they won’t be fooled by liberal Democrat Danny O’Connor,” Russo concluded.
