The Campaign to Defeat Harry Reid

Two years may seem like a long way off, but in politics it’s just around the corner. After regaining control of the U.S. Senate, we were able to fire Harry Reid from his Senate Majority Leader position and finally rip the gavel right out of his hand. Harry Reid will now be up for reelection in 2016, and after years of Americans suffering under his leadership and mismanagement, the time to organize against him is NOW.

It’s why Tea Party Express announced already the campaign to retire Harry Reid in his home state of Nevada this past December. Harry Reid not only needs to sit down, but we need to send him home. Our sights are set on stopping Harry Reid from doing anymore damage to our country, whether it’s by taking action in blind support of support of Obama or his non-action by not allowing important bills to ever see the light of day on the Senate floor.

Reid makes it very clear where he stands, and it is in complete contrast to what we the people believe and support. Harry Reid represents big spending, more debt and more government control. Reid voted against a balanced-budget constitutional amendment, he voted against reducing overall federal spending, and he even voted against paying down federal debt. Why does he continue to allow more wasteful spending?

In 2011, Harry Reid predicted, “The Tea Party will disappear as soon as the economy gets better.” Well, we are still here Senator. And we’ve successfully captured his attention this past fall.
