Tea Party Express Mobile Phone Bank Bus in Rockford, IL

Illinois Tea Party Group Joins National Group’s Wisconsin Recall GOTV Effort

Rockford, IL – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest tea party political action committee, is stopping its recently debuted Mobile Phone Bank bus in Rockford tomorrow morning to give members of the Rockford Tea Party group an opportunity to participate in GOTV calls to Wisconsin voters for the June 5th recall election. The bus will be in the parking lot of the Best Western Clock Tower Resort on 7081 East State Street in Rockford at 10 AM.

Amy Kremer, Chairman of Tea Party Express, said, “The recall of Governor Scott Walker, Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, and the four state senators has energized tea party groups across the country – so we couldn’t resist stopping in the place where the 8 democratic state senators hid out instead of helping Governor Walker fix the state’s economic mess by passing Act 10.

“We cannot continue down the road of Obama and the big government liberals that expands the government on the backs of innovators and job creators; we must instead cut wasteful spending and emulate the pro-growth free market reforms like those in Wisconsin and allow the private sector to help us grow out of this recession.

“The Mobile Phone Bank is equipped with 15 workstations, which include a laptop and headset. Volunteers are then able to make calls to voters in a pre-determined area. The Tea Party movement is evolving and so are we as an organization. This Mobile Phone Bank creates an opportunity for conservatives across the country to be engaged in motivating economic conservatives to get involved,” Kremer concluded.

This is the final pre-tour stop for Tea Party Express before they begin their national “Reclaiming Our Future” bus tour in Wisconsin on Friday.
