Obama’s 2013 Budget is Confronted with Tea Party Disapproval

Tea Party Express Condemns “Reckless and Negligent” Budget Proposal

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nations largest Tea Party political action committee, came out immediately to condemn Obama’s 2013 Budget Proposal today, calling it “reckless and negligent.”

Amy Kremer, Chairman of the Tea Party Express, said, “The American people have unequivocally said, “We are done with the out-of-control spending!” How does President Obama not understand this? With Obama’s deficit spending and ever-increasing tax rates that stifle economic growth, America is tailgating Greece into fiscal oblivion. America will not survive if we spend away our future, and we will not be prosperous if we tax away our entrepreneurs.

“Today, President Obama’s 2013 Budget, which includes some of the most disgraceful budget gimmicks in our nation’s history, represents the epitome of failed leadership. His stimulus bill failed in 2009, and now he is trying it again, committing $826 billion to stimulus, infrastructure, and transportation funding that America cannot afford. This budget is projected to add $11 trillion to the national debt during the next decade while raising taxes by $1.9 trillion. Is this the “change” Obama wants? Because it sure looks like more of the same failed policies.

“Americans are serious about reining in the cost, size, and intrusiveness of the federal government, but this President would rather step on the accelerator than listen to the voice of the people. It is almost amusing to think back to 2009 when Obama said, ‘I will reduce the deficit in half by the end of my first term.’ Well, he will definitely miss that mark and will face the piper in November when we, in one unified voice, say, ‘NO!’ to Obama and his big-government, socialistic policies,” Kremer concluded.
