ELECTION ALERT: Tea Party Express Endorses Three Conservative Congressional Candidates in Pennsylvania

For Immediate Release: September 8, 2020

SACRAMENTO, CA: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of three conservatives for Congress in Pennsylvania: Lisa Scheller in the 7th District, Rep. Scott Perry in the 10th District, and Sean Parnell in the 17th District.

Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “Pennsylvania is a critical state for conservative efforts to keep Donald Trump in the White House and take control of Congress back from Nancy Pelosi and the far left. Luckily, we have three commonsense conservative leaders in Lisa Scheller, Scott Perry, and Sean Parnell who can win three critical Congressional districts and head to Congress to help restore our economy and clean up the mess in Washington.

7th District: Lisa Scheller has distinguished herself as a proven leader in both business and public service. She is the chairman and president of the business started by her grandfather, Silberline Manufacturing, which employs hundreds of people in the Lehigh Valley. Having experienced firsthand how excessive taxes and overregulation destroy jobs and harm businesses, Lisa was inspired to run for the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners, where she fought to lower property taxes, streamline local government, and make bureaucrats and public employee union bosses accountable to the voters. Her commonsense leadership is sorely needed in Washington to help tackle the out-of-control spending and clean up the corrupt bureaucracy.

10th District: “Businessman, soldier, and public servant Scott Perry has dedicated his life to serving the people of Pennsylvania. For more than 35 years, he served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, in which he fought in combat in Iraq and eventually attained the rank of Brigadier General. He is also a successful businessman and the founder of Hydrotech Mechanical Services. In Congress, Scott has worked to eliminate excessive government regulations that make it harder for small businesses to grow and supported countless bills to cut federal spending, balance our budget, and lower taxes.

17th District: “An Army Ranger and combat infantryman, Sean Parnell spent 485 days engaged in fierce fighting in Afghanistan as a member of the 10th Mountain Division, one of the most decorated units since 9/11. Medically discharged for wounds he received leading his platoon during a brutal firefight, he has spent the last several years advocating for our veterans, including working with Congress to pass legislation improving veterans’ access to medical care and holding the Veterans Administration accountable. In Congress, Sean will fight to reform our bloated federal agencies, including the VA, keep taxes low for small businesses and working families, and protect Pennsylvania’s crucial energy jobs.

“Under President Trump and a conservative Congress, the nation experienced robust economic growth and record low unemployment. Now that the COVID-19 pandemic has temporarily derailed the strong economy, the Democrats are using it as an opportunity to clamor for higher taxes, more spending on ineffective social programs, and regulatory nightmares like the Green New Deal. That strategy of bigger and more intrusive government has always failed to produce jobs and grow the economy, yet that is exactly what we would experience under a Biden/Harris administration and a Democrat-controlled Congress. Small businesses and working families in the Keystone State are hurting, and their future depends on conservative leaders like Lisa Scheller, Scott Perry, and Sean Parnell fighting for the lower taxes and limited government that lead to greater opportunity and prosperity,” Russo concluded.
